We have an exclusive mandate for one of our major international clients to fill a temporary position as Director of Human Resources and Social Relations based in Spain.

You will implement a delicate commercial and social transformation, develop social relations, and ensure the continuity of HR activities. This interim position is based in Madrid and will cover several Southern European countries.

To be eligible for this opportunity, your experience must include three key assets: (1) you must be based in Spain, (2) you must be fluent in Spanish and English, and (3) you must have expertise in Spanish labor law with proven experience in managing labor relations and restructuring contexts.

☑️ The opportunity

Interim HR and Social Relations Director (M/F)

Reports directly to the HR group

Matrix organization, functional relationship with operational and support teams

In coordination with external legal advisors

Your main priorities are as follows

• Implementing social transformation in close coordination with the group, in compliance with Spanish labor legislation and HR legal processes
• Ensuring the continuity of HR activities by directlymanaging the local HR team during the transformation phase
• Roll out the new organization to align the country and other European countries with the new business strategy

🏢 Interim management assignment: based in Madrid

✈️ Professional mobility: in major cities in Spain

🚩 Start date: as soon as possible, scheduled for mid-January 2026

⚽ Assignment duration: 6 months , extendable depending on the situation

🏆 Transformation: not an option at this stage, purely interim assignment focused on implementing the human resources and social transformation direction outlined in the assignment

Profile

Expert in Spanish social and legal relations

Proven experience in restructuring

Expertise in B2B sectors such as: specialized distribution, transportation, logistics, supply chain, fleet management, warehousing, or equivalent

Solid legal knowledge of social and labor issues

Experience working with employee representative bodies at group and local level

Key skills

Pragmatic, execution-focused profile with a strong sense of initiative

Native Spanish speaker or fluent in Spanish, fluent in English at a professional level

Agility within complex matrix organizations

Pragmatic, reliable, and easygoing
